EMS

EMS items are accepted for 56 countries in the world , and the cooperative operations with Post Express service has been continued with the Republic of Srpska in the international communications. It is planned to expand it on the other countries in the world.

EMS postal item is a registered item without insured value and without special services, weighting up to 30 kg. EMS items are delivered within the shortest possible time.

EMS postal items may contain the following:

• documents
• written notifications
• goods, and
• other objects except those legally banned by the Universal Postal Union and legislation of some countries.

Articles forbidden for transport in EMS items:

• Coins;
• Banknotes and securities made to bearer;
• Traveller’s cheques;
• Piracy material (burn CDs);
• Precious metals, precious stones
• Living animals
• Narcotics, psychotropic substances scandalous or immoral objects
• Poisonous and caustic substances
• Explosive, inflamable, radioactive and other dangerous substances;
• Arms and ammunition;
• Articles forbidden for transport by the Republic of Serbia regulations, and articles that may not circulate or be imported in the destination country;

Collection of EMS postal items is performed on every working day, except Sundays:

• on THE COUNTERS OF POST OFFICES appointed for the receipt of EMS items (List of post offices)



• by a courier service at 86 locations (List of towns) , at the address you state. This is the way to send documents and other objects which are not liable to customs inspection, weighing up to 0,5 kg. You may ask for the service on the unique phone number 011/3 607 607.

You may get all the necessary information in the Call Centre (011/3 607 607) every working day from 8:00 to 18:00 hrs and Saturdays from 8:00 to 15:00 hrs.
From an operator in the Call Centre, you may get all the information on necessary documentation, and on forbidden or conditionally permitted articles for import into the destination country, as well as all the available information related to status of the EMS items that you sent or expect from abroad.

Expected time-limits of delivery, ans the characteristics of the item contents for every single country you may find in Codebook of countries.We stress that all postal items, regardless of contents, may be object of Customs clearance in the country of origin as well as in the destination country. Holding period in the Customs and also non-working days of the origin country (Post of Serbia) and the Destination Operator do not count in terms of delivery.
